The in-house operation it@M The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company it@M.
What you can expect As a DevOps Engineer, you will find yourself in an exciting work environment that includes optimizing existing applications as well as planning and implementing new IT solutions. You will analyze the requirements and evaluate the feasibility as well as the economic and IT-legal risks of alternative solution concepts, create the design of the IT solution and integrate it into the existing IT architecture. You will advise the specialist departments and share responsibility for the transition of the IT solution into operation. You will also be responsible for the technical management of existing systems and new software to be created. In all these activities, you will always work together with your project and team colleagues and will be in close coordination with our customers in the municipal departments.

many years (at least three years) of professional experience in the IT sector In particular, you bring with you Specialist knowledge and many years (at least three years) of experience in the technology stack of modern software development (e.g. Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, Jenkins, REST, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, Keycloak, Ansible), knowledge and several years (at least two years) of experience in requirements elicitation and technical translation for software development using requirements definitions (UML), process (BPMN) and data modeling (ERM), knowledge and several years (at least two years) of experience in the creation of complex system specifications and architecture diagrams (context, deployment diagrams) Result and goal orientation, especially analytical thinking skills Ability to cooperate and deal with conflict, in particular the ability to integrate The following are an advantage Programming experience Experience working with Atlassian tools, especially Confluence and Jira Experience with complex IT architectures and different integration approaches (e.g. EAI, Kafka) and an understanding of DevOps Experience in the practical implementation of agile methods in IT projects (e.g. in the roles of Scrum Master or Product Owner) Experience in large organizations with a division of labour The City of Munich stands for equality, equal opportunities and anti-discrimination, including in recruitment.
