The Job Accounting Specialist will support the Kantar Business Services (KBS) Q2C team, supporting the revenue recognition and job accounting process. This role will work alongside the BPO team, will participate in the revenue recognition monthly process and will be responsible for collaborating in the year end qualitative revenue recognition process.
Role Description Strategic overlook of end-to-end job accounting processes, across KBS and BPO teams.
Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Project Managers to ensure understanding and compliance with processes and requirements that directly impact revenue recognition.
Work with the BPO to ensure job closure process is performed timely and accurately.
Analyze qualitative review of journal entries resulting from job hard closures.
Analyze %s PoC Year-End IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition compliance.
Build and account for non-standard jobs and support the monthly non-standard job revenue and direct cost recognition process where applicable.
Supports KBS with job accounting judgements when local knowledge or liaison is required, including but not limited to IFRS15 revenue and direct cost recognition, PO and persuasive evidence and cost allocator job accounting.
Analyzes proposed adjustments to revenue recognition each month.
Supports the Cluster/Country controller with ad hoc analysis as the need arises.
Supports the KBS and Finance BP in review of accrued and deferred revenue, ensuring action is taken by the business and issues resolved timely.
Support to local audit activity with the business, alongside the activity undertaken at KBS, and provides internal and external auditors with requested documentation related to jobs/revenue/direct costs.
Participates in special finance projects when needed, including but not limited to process improvement initiatives and M&A activities.
Role Requirements & Capabilities Bachelor's/University degree or similar experience in a related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience as accountant or equivalent role.
Understanding of cost allocator and cost tracker jobs and how to handle them.
Full proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technology.
Proficient English (written and spoken).
