Responsibilities:Full Stack Development: Work across the full stack, from creating interactive user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks to developing robust backend services in Java.Database Integration: Integrate Java applications with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB, ensuring smooth data flow and storage.Agile Methodology Participation: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, contributing to the agile development process.Code Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for clean, testable, and efficient code, including unit testing and code reviews.Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with other developers, product owners, and designers to brainstorm and implement effective solutions for complex software challenges.Continuous Integration and Deployment: Engage with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Git to automate the building, testing, and deployment of Java applications.This is a Rockstar Developer role, our take on the classic Software Developer. Standing as the brick-and-mortar of Critical TechWorks, it plays a crucial role in designing, developing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining our product.
Technical Skills:At least 2 years of experience using Java.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (competency in Angular, React or Vue.js is a plus).Experienced with SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, Cloud Architecture, and Container Architecture.Desirable knowledge in domain-driven design, event sourcing, reactive programming, automated testing, and security.Experience in developing Java UI applications using design principles, patterns, and best practices.Familiarity with different architecture concepts such as Cloud, Microservices, Containers, and Infrastructure as Code.Experience analyzing and improving app performance and resource utilization across the full stack.CTW's Daily Toolkit:Apart from great technical skills, our environment is fast-paced and 100% agile, and prioritizes autonomy, teamwork, interaction, and resilience. This means our Fullstack Hero must also possess the following:
Embrace agile and its implementation frameworks namely Scrum.Be available to be a cross-functional team member by using and developing new skills.Use standard software engineering practices and tools like version control, IDEs, data dashboards.Use state of the art DevOps quality practices and tools such as Continuous Integration /Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Run and operate developed software inside and outside working hours if needed.Be available to travel abroad for short periods, as required.Have excellent English oral and written skills.
