The IT Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Information Technology department within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of both financial principles and IT operations to effectively manage budgets, expenditures, and planning for BT projects. The IT Department includes several legal entities in four countries.Client DetailsLeading Company in its market / Media Sector.DescriptionBudget Management:Develop and manage the IT department's annual budget in collaboration with IT leadership and finance teamWork closely with IT managers to ensure budget allocations align with departmental goals and strategic initiatives.Monitor budget performance regularly and provide reports to management, highlighting any variances or discrepancies, investigating root causes and working together to address themCost Analysis and Optimization:Develop detailed cost analysis for IT projects/initiatives and ongoing operations.Help IT managers to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement within IT processes and systemsImplement strategies to reduce unnecessary expenditures while maintaining quality and performance standards. Planning and Forecasting:Assist in the development of long-term plans and forecasts for IT investments and projects.Provide cost insights and recommendations to support decision-making regarding BT investments, resource allocation, and strategic planning.Collaborate with BT leadership to align cost objectives with overall organizational goals and objectives.Develop and control the headcount plan Reporting:Prepare regular reports and presentations for EMT, board of directors, and other stakeholders.Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data related to BT expenditures and investments, making sure that this data can be used for decision making.Communicate financial performance, trends, and forecasts effectively to stakeholders. Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with organization policies and procedures relevant to BT expenditures.Identify and mitigate budgetary risks associated with BT projects and initiatives.Vendor Management:Develop standards and best practices to be used in IT procurement together with the other IT Managers (ex: for software, outsourcing or IT services)Assist in managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and relationships related to BT services and solutionsEvaluate vendor proposals and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational requirements.ProfileBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on BT finance or related field.Strong understanding of BT systems, technologies, and operations.Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).Experience with financial management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Project Management tools, financial modeling software, Excel,…).Job OfferHybrid working model.A good opportunity for your professional growth.
