Offer Description An international recruitment competition is open for a period of 30 working days starting from the day following the publication of this Notice in the Diário da República. This competition is for the recruitment, under a public employment contract, of a Full Professor in the disciplinary area of Agricultural Engineering at the School of Agriculture of the University of Lisbon.
Admission Requirements III.1 - Only those who hold a Doctoral degree awarded more than five years prior to the application deadline and who have achieved the title of "Agregado" are eligible for this competition.
III.2 - Holders of academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions must have their doctoral degree recognized in accordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018 of August 16, as currently amended.
III.3 - Foreign candidates, except those from Portuguese-speaking countries, must demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese at the C1 level.
Requirements for Admission on Absolute Merit IV.1 - A candidate is considered approved on absolute merit if they receive a favorable vote from more than half of the voting members of the jury.
IV.2 - A favorable vote for approval on absolute merit must be based on the following cumulative criteria:
The field of knowledge and/or specialization in which the candidate obtained their doctorate is suitable for performing teaching duties in the disciplinary area.
The relevance, quality, and currency of the candidate's curriculum vitae.
The candidate has at least 50 publications listed in the Scopus database.
The candidate has at least ten publications within the last three years listed in the Scopus database.
Evaluation and Ranking Parameters V.1 - The purpose of this competition is to assess the ability and performance of candidates in various aspects, including:
Conducting scientific research and teaching assigned courses.
Engaging in university outreach and scientific dissemination.
Participating in the management of university institutions.
Conditions for Submission and Application Documentation VII.1 - Applications must be submitted in person or sent by registered mail within 30 working days after the publication of this notice.
VII.2 - Applications must include the official application form, a curriculum vitae, a document listing the ten most relevant academic contributions, and a scientific-pedagogical project.
Language All application documents must be submitted in either Portuguese or English.
Jury Composition The jury is composed of members from various universities, including the Rector of the University of Lisbon.
