Jumia Porto Tech Center is for you!As part of the Finance Operations team, your primary mission will be to continuously assess the ways we are doing things, apply your critical thinking and bring new ideas to improve the company's effectiveness.You need to be passionate about tackling challenging business cases, finding the solution to problems and ultimately be the liaison point between business, finance and systems stakeholders.What you will be doingProcess definition – you will help structuring and clarifying processes by understanding operational and business needs and translate them into operational processes, system developments and accountingSystem developments – you will liaise with systems' owners to translate business needs and help specifying new developments and features in order to grant teams access to the right toolsImplementation and training – you will help leading the design, implementation and training of processes aiming at aligning all countries on best practices and optimizing existing processes with an operational and financial understandingFinancial analysis & insights – you will help developing our insights on the company's effectiveness and bring a holistic perspective to the data and insights we have todayWhat we are looking forDegree in Engineering, or a degree in Finance/Management with complementary knowledge in coding and databasesBasic knowledge of database designAbility to build and execute SQL queries for data analysis purposesAbility to read and understand financial statementsPassionate about making things happen and getting excited about identifying and delivering simple solutions to complex problems at paceYou think, act and communicate clearly and confidently with your team members and stakeholdersYou "work out loud", making your work-in-progress visible and receptive to constant feedbackYou are able to collaborate globally and work cross-functionally with other teamsYou have a hands-on attitude, because e-commerce is 50% operations and processesFluent in English (French is a plus).#J-18808-Ljbffr
