The Lakhani Group is a prominent hotel development and construction company, recognized for delivering high-end hospitality projects. We are looking for a skilled International Procurement Specialist to manage and optimize our global sourcing processes. The role requires working with international suppliers, with a particular focus on the Chinese market .
This position requires working hours from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM to align with international time zones. Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory , and knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Sourcing: Identify and establish relationships with international suppliers, particularly in China, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality materials for our projects.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with international suppliers to secure the best deals.
Chinese Market Expertise (a Plus): Use knowledge of the Chinese market to source products and services more efficiently, understanding local suppliers and trade dynamics.
Vendor Management: Maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and manage performance, ensuring timely delivery and problem resolution.
Procurement Operations: Manage the full procurement cycle from purchase order creation to the delivery of goods, in line with budget and schedule requirements.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, particularly in China, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
Cost Analysis: Continuously monitor procurement costs and identify potential savings through market research and negotiations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project management, finance, and logistics teams to support global purchasing needs.
Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in international procurement, preferably in the construction or hospitality sectors.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics .
Proven experience with supplier management and contract negotiations.
Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to work from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM to accommodate international supplier timelines.
