Our Expertise Center in the Porto location is looking for an International Customer Support Engineer.
Responsibilities
Within our European Expertise Center located in Porto and Bordeaux, and under the responsibility of the Expertise Center Manager of Porto, you will be in charge of providing assistance to our customers and subsidiaries for Lectra Products (cutting machines, plotters, spreaders, software, industry solutions 4.0), of our brands Lectra and Gerber.
Your main mission will be to guarantee the availability of Lectra machines installed at customers. In order to ensure the best performance of Lectra equipment, the customer support engineer will provide remote support in order to solve efficiently the problems and will take actions for smart services functioning, according to the service contracts.
All these actions are undertaken in order to ensure a good level of satisfaction for our customers, providing quality services and maintaining the optimal performances of our machines.
Profile
The ideal candidate would have an engineering degree in electronics, mechanics or production and:
Experience in electric and electronic applications, troubleshooting and good initiative for practical concepts and procedures related to manufacturing and productivity.
Experience with CAM applications and robotics – software and hardware.
PC knowledge.
At the same time, you must have excellent communication skills and be focused on service, owning real capabilities in order to adapt and analyse, particularly for problems resolution that appear at our internal and external customers.
The main languages required are Spanish and English. Knowledge of Portuguese or other European languages is a plus.
The job is dynamic, autonomous and will allow you to put in practice your know-how, while being able to share your knowledge and expertise in terms of manufacturing products and processes.
