To join our team, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction/Architects Designer Manager. This part-time position supports our CAPEX/building investment initiatives across a group of schools and plays a key role in designing, planning, and executing construction and infrastructure projects. Based in our Alfragide office, the Construction/Architects Designer Manager will drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring our schools' environments align with Inspired's vision for excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and Project Management Identify and detail school improvement needs.
Launch and manage tenders for construction projects.
Analyze and compare contractor quotes, presenting proposals to the Board.
Oversee project implementation and ensure alignment with project goals.
CAD Support and Planning Manage, update, and adjust schools' CAD files.
Plan and prepare construction and improvement interventions using AutoCAD and 3D software.
Market Research and Quotations Conduct market research and request quotes tailored to specific school needs.
Evaluate and negotiate vendor proposals for cost-effective solutions.
Construction Oversight Monitor ongoing construction projects to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to key stakeholders.
Project Completion Manage snag lists to ensure all project issues are resolved.
Coordinate successful project delivery and handover processes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Proven experience in construction project management or architectural design, ideally within the education sector.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D software such as SketchUp for design and presentation purposes.
Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools.
Strong skills in creating compelling presentations using PowerPoint.
Up-to-date knowledge of interior design trends and a strong sense of aesthetics.
Exceptional communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture , Interior Design , or a related field.
