The Group Head of Cyber Defence is responsible for leading and managing the organization's cyber defence strategy and operations. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of robust security measures to protect the company's digital assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cyber security, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive cyber defence strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of cyber security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Threat and Vulnerability Management: Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.Incident Response: Coordinate and manage the response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cyber security.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to cyber security.Technology Oversight: Evaluate and implement advanced security technologies and tools to enhance the organization's cyber defence capabilities.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of the organization's cyber security postureQualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
