The mission of the Role: We seek a highly skilled Industrialization Project Manager to lead and program manage the industrialization activities within our BMW Customer Business Group. will possess extensive experience in project management and demonstrate the ability to lead projects in complex environments. This role demands a strong business acumen focusing on project execution, budget tracking, investment management, risk management, and overall program management for Visteon plants where BMW projects will be industrialized.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management: Lead and manage the industrialization of BMW projects at Visteon plants, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.Project Execution: Oversee the entire project lifecycle from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.Budget and Investment Management: Track and manage project budgets, investments, and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective project execution.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality.Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including BMW representatives, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve industrialization processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.Qualification, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and project management, preferably within the automotive industry.Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading complex projects.Excellent business acumen with a focus on project execution and financial management.Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies.Strong technical background in electronics manufacturing processes and technologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Key Performance Indicators: Project Delivery Timeliness: Percentage of projects delivered on or before the scheduled deadline.Budget Adherence: Percentage of projects completed within the allocated budget.Risk Mitigation Effectiveness: Number of identified risks successfully mitigated without impacting project timelines or quality.Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback scores from internal and external stakeholders, including BMW representatives.Process Improvement Implementation: Number of process improvements successfully implemented and their impact on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Key Year One Deliverable Successful Industrialization of BMW Projects: Complete the industrialization of IDC Evo and MIC within the first year according to the existing planBudget Management Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive budget management plan for all ongoing projects.Risk Management Framework: Establish a robust risk management framework tailored to the specific needs of BMW projects.Stakeholder Communication Strategy: Create and execute a stakeholder communication strategy to ensure clear and consistent communication with all parties.Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement at least three significant process improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.Key Behaviors: Proactive Leadership: Demonstrate initiative in identifying potential issues and opportunities and take decisive action to address them.Effective Communication: Maintain clear, concise, and transparent communication with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.Adaptability: Show flexibility in adapting to changing project requirements and environments, while maintaining focus on project goals.Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the project team and with external stakeholders to achieve common goals.Continuous Improvement: Commit to ongoing learning and improvement, both personally and within the project processes, to drive better outcomes. Reporting Structure:The role has multiple reports to the BMW Customer Project Leads.
