Job Description
As Industrial controller for Stow's factory in Ovar, you will be working together with the Stow HQ controlling team to increase transparency, improve efficiency, standardize systems and processes in order to optimize the sales, operations & distribution flow both for the factories as well as for the many different Stow sales affiliates.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Guide the industrial controlling environment through BI data gathering: Interpret the operational & financial data
Validate and adjust the local ERP parameters (mainly transformation cost drivers)
Setup costing standards based on the specific production activities, in line with other Stow locations
Analyzing monthly results based on production output: Compare current production and operational costs with absorption based on standards
Revise standards based on executed analysis
Analyze key cost drivers
Assisting the business in realizing cost efficiencies
Follow up & update cost price systems for production entities: Verify cost calculations for existing products
Support cost calculations for new products
Assist in transfer price setting and margins
Proactively identifying costing issues
Analyze & optimize cost calculation system
Follow up inventory valuation and orders/projects in execution: Monthly check of inventory and unit prices
Follow up on inventory valuation, analyze stock rotation and verify obsolescence based on historic and future usage
Financial follow up of Projects in cooperation with sales controlling and project management Analyze most important internal production driven variances (steel prices, inefficiencies in transformation process, …)
Proactively identify project issues and have them discussed with project/central management
Link project valuation with month end results (and provide feedback for correct follow up in sales affiliates)
Ad hoc analysis on request of management Perform analysis and give feedback (ROI calculation, analyze costs between the different production entities, analyze optimal contribution with limited capacity, etc.)
Qualifications
Industrial controlling/costing experience
Knowledge ERP systems (SAP and/or Infor LN are a plus)
Fluent in English
Strong analytical skills
Work autonomously and drive change
Travel to HQ or other production sites (+/- 10% time)
