Your New Company Our client is a leading multinational company in the beverage sector. Your New Role Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, the selected candidate will: Provide legal and commercial advice to local and international stakeholders, including drafting necessary documentation. Prepare and negotiate commercial contracts, define negotiation strategies, and draft legal documents, including Data Protection Agreements. Negotiate Data Protection Agreements, manage the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA), and conduct Privacy Assessments with business owners. Prevent and resolve disputes, assess the company's legal position, propose settlements, and manage litigation as needed. Represent the company in commercial litigation, initially with external law firms and eventually independently. Conduct legal audits within the organisation, advise on deficiencies or improvements, and support legal risk management. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in daily business operations. Represent the company in national and international dealings with external parties, collaborating with external lawyers as necessary. Develop, implement, and maintain legal policies within the assigned area of expertise, ensuring compliance with overall legal strategy and conducting audits. Initiate, lead, or participate in multi-functional projects within the defined framework. Participate in projects impacting parts of the organisation as designed by the Head of Legal. Ensure proper administration, archiving, and registration of legal documents, including contract management and supervision of trademarks, models, and patents. Monitor legislative trends and translate them into necessary changes in company procedures and systems. What You'll Need to Succeed Degree and/or Master's in Law. 4 years of experience as an attorney-at-law or legal counsel (at least 1–2 years enrolled in the BAR association with a top-tier law firm). Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management abilities. Proactive in identifying and solving problems. Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking. Discipline, impact, influence, energy, ambition, and proactivity. Fluency in Portuguese. Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level). Resilience.
