Position Summary
The Nespresso story began with a simple but revolutionary idea: enable anyone to create the perfect cup of espresso coffee. Since 1986, Nespresso has redefined and revolutionized the way millions of people enjoy their espresso coffee. As part of the newly created Nespresso Supply Chain Service Center in Lisbon, we are currently looking for a full time Import & Export Specialist to manage logistic and all the distant activities related to order preparation, transport organization and invoicing. Ensure a close coordination with 3PL focusing on a permanent operational process. Be the point of contact on the markets (s)he will manage for the HQ supply chain, as the voices of the customer. Ensure the optimization of processes end to end to reach a high service level and to guaranty a delivery in full in time and in quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to bring transversal benefits for the supply planning community. As a Single Point of Contact (SPOC), (s)he will be responsible to manage directly designated topics within the Intermarket Physical Logistics team, including meetings with other departments and addressing the sensitive issues related with those topics. It is expected for the SPOC to be the first point of contact for follow-up and potential escalations. Stakeholders' management is key for this position since it will imply management of internal and external stakeholders.
A day in the life of an Import & Export Specialist
Sending the «logistics» orders based on the dispatch plan, processing the shipment invoices and potential credit notes into the adequate internal budget groups;
Ensure all the administrative tasks linked with shipments (Control of partners' invoices + Legalization of appropriate documents);
Arrange freight resources and optimize the national and international shipments in coordination with 3PL, control the optimization of the loading plans and provide qualitative control of transports means;
To find and elaborate good solutions to all exportation issues and manage the possible logistics crisis at destination;
Handling the information requests for the new markets opening;
Manage and update the ERP customers' database;
Liaise closely with all key customers to maintain specific service agreements and to build and develop robust relationships to support business growth;
Organizing monthly call with markets and cross-check with customers complaints and service level;
Ensure the relationship with our «logistics» customers by offering accurate and timely information;
Regular communication e.g. delivery in right quantity, at right place/window and information that will keep customers and Experts updated to manage proactively;
Manage Intermarket Physical Logistics Issues (order processing, warehousing, transport, customs operations), partnership agreements, and facilitate integration between the planning process and transactional level;
Influence Warehousing, Transport, and Import/Export Regulation Experts to continuously improve service and costs;
To work as part of the overall HQ Supply Chain Management team to improve overall supply chain efficiencies, minimize waste and achieve all KPI's.
What will make you successful
University Degree or equivalent with specialization in Supply Chain/Logistics
3-5 years of professional experience within an international company in a logistic function
Proven experience of import/export knowledge;
Has successfully led international shipment operations within a multi-modal organisation (Rail, Road, Sea & Airfreight)
Knowledge of Swiss and foreign customs regulations is a plus
Very good level of English and other languages is an advantage
Critical thinking and continuous improvement approach
Good communication skills
Stakeholder management and engagement
