.People Specialist needed to join our team in Lisbon on a permanent basis, here at VML Enterprise Solutions. The opportunity: You will be part of the UK People Team, reporting into the Lead People Partner supporting a headcount of approx. 110 people across our Porto and Lisbon offices with the opportunity to gain exposure working across the wider business in the UK. Your primary role will be acting as the first point of contact for new starters and employees, providing guidance on company policies and procedures, supporting the People Operations Team providing valuable input from a Portugal perspective, as well as supporting the People Team with exciting people projects and initiatives. What you'll be doing: People Responsibilities Triage employee led queries in the People Inbox Provide accurate and timely information to employees and managers managing expectations along the way and responding within the agreed SLAs. Understanding of our people operation processes and how they fit with our businesses VML Enterprise Solutions Seek for delivery improvement opportunities in collaboration with People Partners, People Operations & Learning & Development to ensure we provide the best employee experience. Undertake or contribute to people projects and initiatives as and when required. Regularly collaborate with our People team and other stakeholders within the business to provide administrative support and advice. Payroll Ownership of the monthly payroll spreadsheet Run joiners, movers, leavers, and pending transactions report on Bamboo to ensure data is complete in time for payroll. Onboarding Main point of contact for new joiners Carry out the weekly People Inductions Manage the end-to-end Portugal Visa process. Benefits Full knowledge of our benefit policies and processes, handling any queries either from the employee or benefit provider. Support open enrolment processes and communicate benefit changes to employees. Collaborate with benefit providers to resolve issues and ensure accurate record-keeping. System administration for new joiners, leavers, and changes into the WPP Portugal systems. Liaison with WPP Shared Services for monthly payroll changes People Analytics Conduct one month check ins, midpoint probation check ins, and exit interviews, updating the People Advisor & People Partner with relevant feedback to support them with providing constructive feedback to the necessary key stakeholders involved. Utilise People Metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Policy & Compliance Stay up to date on Portuguese employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with Portugal local requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of People Policies, procedures and initiatives to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices, including communicating policy changes and updates to employees
