.As an HSE Manager, you will develop and implement comprehensive policies aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring compliance, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safety culture. You will investigate incidents, monitor KPIs, and actively participate in internal and external safety forums, overseeing the execution of Internal Emergency Plans in case of emergencies. You will work closely with the engineering and project teams, as well as Lifthium COO, CTO and Head of Risk. Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures (including policies for Health and Safety at Work, Major Accident Prevention Policies, and Internal Emergency Plans), aligned with national and EU requirements and lithium industry best practices; Ensure compliance withsafety, health, and security requirements at each stage of the project (including monitoring safety and quality of the project's construction process), collaborating with Bondalti's teams to understand best practices in safety, regulations, and training; Conduct and promote regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards/ improvement opportunities, implement solutions and help maintain safety certifications; Investigate incidents,accidents, and near-miss events, implementing corrective and preventive measures; Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization, establishing, developing, and delivering training programs and ensuring compliance with these; Monitor and report on KPIs related to health, safety, and environmental performance; Participate in internal and external forums as a Lifthium representative on safety and health topics; In the event of an emergency, carry out the Internal Emergency Plan at the sites. BSc degree in Engineering, with specialization in Safety (CPA level VI or VII); 5-8 years of experience in safety and health management roles, preferably within the lithium or chemicals industry; Previous experience inrisk analysis methodologies and techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, BOW-TIE) and SOVESO installations (preferably); Knowledge of nationaland EU legislation on health and safety at work and industrial safety; Communication and influence skills to engage stakeholders and promote responsible practices; Detail-oriented mindset to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and excellent decision-making skills; Collaborative mindset to work closely with several stakeholders, and enthusiastic team player; Proficient in both spoken and written Portuguese and English.
