.We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Coordinator to join our R&D facility, which includes a research laboratory and a demonstration plant. The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace by implementing and maintaining comprehensive HSE programs, policies, and procedures.What you will do:Safety ManagementDevelop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and proceduresConduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measuresLead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actionsCoordinate regular safety audits and inspections of the facilitiesTraining and EducationConduct HSE training sessions and safety drills for staff and contractorsDevelop and distribute educational materials on HSE topicsEnsure all employees are aware of and comply with HSE regulations and best practicesCompliance and DocumentationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations and standardsEnsure compliance with HSE laws and regulationsPrepare and submit required reports to regulatory agenciesMaintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activitiesEnvironmental StewardshipImplement and manage waste disposal and recycling programsMonitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulationsPromote sustainable practices within the facilityEmergency PreparednessDevelop and maintain emergency response plansCoordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness for various scenariosServe as the point of contact for emergency situationsRequirementsWhat you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with specialization in Safety (CPA level VI or VII); 5-8 years of proven experience in developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in the chemical sector or similar; Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards; Previous experience in contributing to industrial facilities construction (preferable); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to conduct training sessions and engage with diverse teams; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Proficiency in using HSEmanagement software and tools; Certification in HSE (e.G., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus; Proficient in both spoken and written Portuguese and English.BenefitsAt Lifthium, you will have the opportunity to build something from the start, contributing to a more sustainable future.
