The Role
The Project Manager Office Head for the Billing Project will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a critical project aimed at replacing and migrating a number of current charging and billing systems with a new Cloud based online charging and billing platform and optimizing the existing billing process and operations within the organization.
This role requires a skilled project manager with experience in billing systems and processes, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to ensure successful project delivery. The billing project is anticipated to last 18 months. After that you will be assigned to manage other key projects and initiatives around the group.
Requirements
What you will do:
1. Project Planning:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and align expectations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles to project success.
2. Project Execution:
- Lead the project team through all phases of implementation, ensuring adherence to the project plan and timeline.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including billing, IT, finance, and operations to execute project tasks.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve project goals.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate project status updates, key milestones, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to gather feedback, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities.
4. Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively to support project activities and meet deliverable deadlines.
- Collaborate with resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skillsets are available for project needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as necessary for project execution.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality standards and metrics to evaluate project deliverables and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and testing to validate the functionality and accuracy of billing systems and processes.
- Implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
What will you bring:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, information technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a project manager or program office manager, preferably in billing or finance-related projects.
Strong understanding of billing and online charging systems, processes, and best practices.
Solid understanding of mobile network and telecommunication architectures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
