Goparity is an impact finance platform that connects companies that need funding for sustainable projects with individuals and organizations who want to invest sustainably. We are growing, both in terms of size and impact generated. We were born in Portugal in 2017 but have since then financed projects and grown a large community of investors all around the world. In 2022, our community invested as much as the total invested in the previous years together since the company was founded. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? A hands-on leader who is not afraid to dive into the nitty-gritty of every area in a company that has doubled its business dimension every year since 2020. Someone who is eager to work in a startup collaborative environment and who excels at prioritizing tasks and defining what's urgent, in a business that is constantly evolving.
As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's financial services and overseeing customer support to promoters (borrowers) and investors (lenders), automating processes and financial operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products and services to our customers. You will report directly to the CMO of Goparity and work closely with the Product and Marketing teams.
ABOUT THE ROLE – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and perform financial and contractual operations with clients on the crowdlending platform, including internal core processes and reporting.Supervise the fulfilment of loans by borrowers, monitor operations and ensure borrowers satisfaction throughout the life of the loan.Implement and maintain automation processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure and improve operational performance and arrears management.Ensure that our clients' inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner with a hands-on approach while optimizing processes.Manage and mentor a growing team to achieve their full potential.Work with the Legal & Compliance Department in debt recovery as well as develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, to identify and prioritize features to accelerate business growth, user satisfaction and improve internal productivity.Create simple, scalable solutions that keep pace with our ambitious growth plans.ABOUT YOU Mandatory 5+ years of experience in Operations and/or Customer Success, including at least 2 years of experience in a managing position, preferably within the fintech landscape.Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset – and master MS Excel.Excellent interpersonal communication skills – you must be a good mediator.Experience with automation tools and systems and quick to learn new tools.Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or Spanish are a bonus).Resident in the European Union.Experience in the start-up world, preferably a fintech,Experience in the finance or banking industries (preferably, financial operations).International work experience.Experience with CRM tools (eg. Hubspot, Zendesk, Notion).Knowledge of data analytics tools (eg. Translating to everyday language, our range for this role is of a total gross package of 34.000€ to 38.000€.
Workplace We are remote flexible (even before covid) – maximum liberty comes with full responsibility. We are based in Wonder Work (Bairro Azul) in Lisbon and have a desk in Barcelona, but you can work from anywhere if you do the work and comply with your team's core working hours (10h00 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 17h30). We have one mandatory in-person meeting, happening every quarter in Lisbon.
