Job DescriptionInternational and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Head of Engineering Toolchain (RnD IT), you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.Your contribution to something big:Oversee the operations of IT systems, solutions, and applications for Product Creation in a globally, multi-site engineering network, covering Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as well as embedded and backend, Web-app, mobile App, and Cloud Software Engineering.Primary focus is on the steering and monitoring of various third-party providers who operate server infrastructure, data networks, security systems, in a complex system and application landscape.Get Requirements and Architecture of the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) developed in close cooperation with engineering departments of different business units.Provision of tools and align with IT infrastructure team on sufficient environment for mCAD / eCAD, simulation, modelling, test(-automation), multi-site build-chains, AI training systems to environment for XaaS dev ops teams.Ensure that Engineering IT systems, solutions and applications are operated reliably, efficiently, and securely.Service and contract management for the performance-oriented management of external service providers based on service level agreements.Define and implement efficient security measures to minimize security risks (cyber security) for the IDE in close cooperation with the Chief Information Security Officer.Work with executives, department heads, system users and other stakeholders to ensure maximum effectiveness and robustness of IDE, including optimization and reasonable harmonization.Ensure that the organization has an appropriate emergency strategy and contingency plans in place.QualificationsWhat distinguishes you:Several years of leadership experience in an international and intercultural context with personnel and budget responsibility.Proven track record in effectively managing a comprehensive and international portfolio of IT services, most of them sourced from partners.Experience in identifying and implementing performance measures.Good understanding of currently available technical IT solutions and future requirements.Solid understanding of the organization's business objectives, processes, and priorities to align IT infrastructure strategies with the overall goals of the organization and make informed decisions that support business growth.Initiative and excellent communication skills, business fluent in written and spoken English, German of advantage.High level of commitment and resilience in a challenging and changing environment.Independent working style coupled with a willingness to take responsibility and assertiveness.Additional InformationWork #LikeABosch includes:Flexible work conditions | Hybrid work system | Exchange with colleagues around the world | Health insurance and medical office on site (nutrition, psychology, physiotherapy, general clinic) | Training opportunities (technical training, foreign languages training) & certifications | Access to great discounts in partnerships and Bosch products | Sports and health-related activities (gym) | Free parking lot | Canteen.Success stories don't just happen.
