About The Role We are seeking a commercially astute Head of Design to lead our talented ten person design team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX and UI but their superpower will be the ability to understand business goals and translate them into compelling and effective design strategies.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products (gaming and crypto) and ensuring it aligns with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire designs across multiple projects, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
UX Research & Design: Oversee all UX research activities, ensuring user insights are integrated into the design process.
Develop intuitive, user-centred designs that simplify the user experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to develop feature specifications and with the product marketer to understand industry trends, competitors, and user needs.
Business Alignment: Translate business initiatives and objectives into design strategies, ensuring the design team's output aligns with overall business goals.
User Insights & Improvement: Utilise UX best practices and both qualitative (heatmapping and session reply) and quantitative (Amplitude) tools to identify and resolve friction points in the user experience.
Track the impact of design changes on user behaviour and business metrics.
Data-driven Design: Collaborate with the data team to understand business challenges such as user registration and in-app spending.
Develop and implement design solutions to improve conversion rates and user engagement.

Our Ideal Profile: Experience as a Lead or Head of Design role in a fast-moving tech environment Broad Design skillset across UX and UI, with the ability to understand business goals About You: Proven experience in a senior design role with experience leading a team of both UI and UX designers in a fast-moving tech environment.
Strong background in UX research and design, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-friendly interfaces.
High business acumen with the ability to understand and align design strategies with business objectives.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in the crypto industry is beneficial and a willingness to learn is essential.
