Head Baker Job Role:
Supervise daily bakery operations and production schedules.
Prepare and bake a variety of items, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Innovate and test new recipes to expand the menu.
Ensure consistent quality and presentation standards for all baked goods.
Manage inventory levels and order necessary baking supplies.
Train and oversee bakery staff members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Control food costs and implement waste reduction strategies.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role.
Preferably a graduate of Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or its equivalent. If the candidate has a non-HRM/Culinary degree, he/she should have years of related experience and certifications to suffice.
Has proven experience working in a French Patisserie or Boulangerie.
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Creative and innovative mindset for developing new recipes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other baking supplies.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in using baking equipment and tools.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and scheduling.
Formal training or certification in baking is a plus.
Passion for baking and a positive attitude.
Must be willing to work in BGC, Taguig.
