Hardware Test & Validation Engineering

Synopsys Laboratory Team in Porto (Portugal) is part of a worldwide team responsible for the test and characterization of several IP products, such as HDMI, DP and MIPI (CDPHY, DPHY, MPHY). We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and talented engineer to fill a Test & Validation Engineering role in our Laboratory team.Main responsibilities include:Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits (with Synopsys IP) full Characterization.Design and implement laboratory test setups.Use high-end laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Network Analyzers, etc…).Troubleshooting and Debugging.Understand test specifications, datasheets, and circuit schematics.Reporting and Documentation.Follow Quality Processes.Work closely with Hardware Engineers to improve or to create new test setups.Internal teams and customer support.Requirements:Academic backgroundBSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.Technical SkillsMicroelectronics, Mixed-Signal IC concepts, digital and analog circuits.Good understanding of transmission lines and s-parameters.Verilog, Python and Matlab.UNIX operating systems and scripting.Laboratory bench instruments.Soft SkillsProactive and supportive team player.Passion for technology.Continuous improvement mindset.Work Experience1+ years relevant experience.At Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
