We are looking for an experienced Product Designer with a strong ability to create both 2D sketches and detailed 3D models to shape the aesthetics and functionality of our next generation of smart lockers and delivery solutions. This role requires a blend of creativity, user-centered design, and practical knowledge of metal manufacturing processes. You will have the opportunity to bring impactful designs to life for use in first and last-mile delivery solutions worldwide.
What will be your responsibilities2D Sketching and 3D Modeling : Create concept sketches, detailed 2D drawings, and 3D models of smart lockers and related hardware, balancing aesthetics with practical functionality; Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to develop and refine designs from concept to production, ensuring alignment with technical, aesthetic, and functional requirements; Prototyping and Testing : Provide accurate models and drawings for prototype fabrication; Manufacturing Optimization : Apply expertise in metal manufacturing processes to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and scalable; User-Centric Design : Leverage user feedback and research to refine designs for better usability, safety, and appeal; Documentation and Compliance : Maintain thorough documentation of design iterations, modifications, and project milestones while ensuring designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements; Problem Solving : Address design challenges creatively, employing innovative solutions to enhance product quality and performance; What are the requirements to join us in this positionEducation and Experience : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of product design experience, ideally with hardware or durable consumer products; Proficiency in Sketching and Modeling : Skilled in creating both 2D sketches and detailed 3D models, translating conceptual ideas into refined design solutions; CAD Proficiency : Expert in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360); Manufacturing Knowledge : Strong understanding and practical experience with metal manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on scaling, costs, and material properties; Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to address and resolve complex design challenges with a user-centered and detail-oriented approach; Communication Skills : Effective communicator with the ability to present designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams; Innovation and Adaptability : Demonstrated ability to drive design innovation while adapting to evolving priorities and requirements; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address complex technical challenges; Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning; Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and project requirements.
