The Grower will be responsible for overall health andsuccess of crops within their assigned growing area. Working closely with the Greenhouse Operations Lead to ensure on time completion of the production schedule as well as fertigation strategies and environmental monitoring.
Role and Responsabilities
Manage crops and monitors environment within their assigned growing area
Work with Greenhouse Operations Lead and supervisors to mentor in the training of Leads on the performance of production employees while maintaining a safe, clean and compliant workplace
Coordinates with Greenhouse Operations Lead to ensure fertigation sytems are maintained
Coordinates with Greenhouse Operations Lead timing of crop maintenance based on crop assessments
Complete all documentation to meet the company GACP/GMP standards requirements as it relates to the greenhouse environment
Ensure Batch Records are maintained with on time entry and crop logs and documentation are completed for assigned crops
Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety
Provide leadership for problem and conflict resolution
Follow and contribute to the improvement of the Cultural Program
Coordinates with IPM Supervisor the needs of their growing area
Perform all aspects of crop analysis, scouting, fertigation and verification of work related to the crops within your zones
Provide assistance and backup coverage to other Zone growers based on their days off/holidays.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Completed a Horticulture or Agronomy Certificate or Diploma
2 years work experience in horticulture (cannabis or other plants)
Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications
Strong inventory and production management skills
Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with peers and schedulers
Highly capable of multi-tasking, with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Good level of English.
