Groups and MICE Sales Executive - Locke de Santa Joana, Lisbon.
The role.
Are hotels in your DNA? Does Customer Service make you happy and selling to clients excite you? Have you got a knack for cultivating loyal customers? Do you thrive on building and nurturing relationships?
You'd be at the reservations helm of Groups and MICE sales in our recent Locke de Santa Joana property. Reporting to the Director of Sales Lisbon, you'll take greater ownership of sales activity with regards to Groups and MICE business for Locke de Santa Joana MICE agents and group clients that come into the property from all channels. You will be able to use your local knowledge and customer service expertise to develop profitable, sustainable business.
What it looks like.
The primary function for this role is to provide consistently outstanding sales and guest care experiences in accordance with policy and procedures for all clients of group accommodation & meeting space in the property. You will manage all the MICE & Groups contacts for Locke de Santa Joana. You will manage the Locke de Santa Joana enquiry box for Groups & M&E business efficiently and all enquiries via the online MICE Portals and those referred by the edyn central groups' reservations team. You will maintain an efficient filing system and understand CRMs.
You will be able to easily establish, influence, build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in Groups & MICE business for the Lisbon property. You will help to negotiate and develop profitable and sustainable business and importantly work well with the internal sales and operations teams on property.
Be the first point of contact for Groups & MICE enquiries at the property.
Provide efficient and courteous assistance for all Group & MICE enquiries at the property.
Manage the meeting rooms and events enquiries at the property.
Increase group revenue through a variety of segments eg: MICE related accommodation, Transient Groups, Extended Stay Groups.
Ensure optimal conversion of all MICE and Group enquiries, negotiating rates and contract T&C in order to convert enquiries, seeking support from the proactive sales team when required.
Assist in securing and maintaining beneficial partnerships with key MICE / Groups Agencies in support of local sales team.
Be responsible for answering telephone calls, emails and resolving any issues in a professional manner in keeping with the brand approach.
Draw up, extend and negotiate basic groups and M&E contracts for clients.
Ensure all contracts are sent in a timely manner and clients are followed up with confirm bookings.
Assist in optimising MICE / Groups volumes through a variety of channels (Cvent, Hotel Planner, Venue Directory as appropriate) through preferencing, positioning and enquiry management.
Ensure excellent knowledge of company network and key locations and know how to easily access information regarding any location.

Experience in operation systems including Opera/ Envision/ Reserve/ MEWS.
Demonstrated previous experience working in a reservations / Conference / Events department (1-2 years minimum).

Core hours are 09:00-18:00.
Working flexibly when needed, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays when needed.
Based in Lisbon.
This is a full-time position.
Travelling to other properties and edyn office locations when needed.
