What you will do:
As part of our group tax team, you are the knowledge lead for Indirect Tax topics, esp. VAT across the globe with currently a stronger focus on the EU.
As the VAT product owner, you are responsible for keeping our VAT engine up-to-date and you drive standardization, optimization and automation of processes.
You evaluate existing VAT-related business processes and implement, monitor and/or adjust necessary VAT controls with the goal of standardizing and optimizing the existing workflows while being fully compliant.
You share your know-how with our regional tax teams and empower them to draw the right conclusions on any VAT matter in their area of responsibility.
By collaborating closely with teams across the entire company as well as external tax advisors and Tech specialists, you contribute to actively managing tax risks and driving potential for tax automation.
Who we are looking for:
You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship (accountant, tax clerk, tax specialist) or a university degree with a focus on tax law/taxation.
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in Indirect Taxes.
You have experience with common accounting software (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
You are fluent in English (German is a Plus).
You enjoy questioning the status-quo, have the drive to push boundaries and are not afraid to speak up; you review and develop things further, and want to be part of a fast-paced environment with new challenges everywhere.
You are characterized by an independent, careful and structured way of working; you also maintain an overview in work-intensive situations.
You are a true team player and achieve the greatest successes as part of a team.
