Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global SG&A Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The primary focus of this role is to engage with all regions to consolidate demand and evaluate global negotiations to leverage the company's global volume. The successful candidate will manage various categories, including Facility Services, Meal Services, HR Benefits, Uniforms, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), Professional Services, Consultancy Services, and General Services. A key challenge of this position is to effectively consolidate volume from diverse regions and define and elaborate the contracting scope together with stakeholders, providing full support as necessary.
Responsibilities
Demand Consolidation:
Engage with regional procurement teams to gather and consolidate demand across all regions.
Develop and implement strategies to standardize procurement processes and requirements globally.
Analyze regional procurement data to identify opportunities for consolidation and cost savings.
Address the challenges of consolidating volume from diverse regions by understanding local needs and constraints.
Global Negotiations:
Lead global negotiations with suppliers to leverage the company's global volume.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best terms and conditions.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.
Category Management:
Manage procurement activities for key categories including Facility Services, Meal Services, HR Benefits, Uniforms, PPE, Consultancy Services, Professional Services, and General Services.
Develop and execute category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve service levels.
Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure competitive advantage.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
Define and elaborate the contracting scope together with stakeholders, ensuring all requirements are met.
Provide regular updates to senior management on procurement activities, savings achieved, and market conditions.
Act as a point of contact for regional procurement teams and provide guidance and support as needed.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Utilize procurement tools and systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
Support and Guidance:
Provide full support to regional teams and stakeholders during the contracting process.
Offer training and resources to ensure understanding and compliance with global procurement strategies.
Address any issues or challenges that arise during the procurement process and work towards effective solutions.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on SG&A categories with Global Scope.
Proven track record of successful global negotiations and demand consolidation.
Experience in managing diverse categories such as Facility Services, Meal Services, HR Benefits, Uniforms, PPE, Consultancy Services, Professional Services, and General Services.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
