The Senior BWPCS Technician works with the global AME team, and the contracted system development team to implement/enhance the BWPCS systems. The natural working environment for this position is the outsourced system developing contractors Team, Global AME Team, Plant ME Team, and global/local IT-Teams. This position is expected to collaborate with them very closely.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
Assist in system integration, testing and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability.
New installation and modification of BWPCS modules, functions and features.
Create new control and information systems including specification of the hardware and software to be used in the production system.
Update/modify database and reporting functions in accordance with the design documents in order to meet the functional requirements such as MES, SCADA and Lot Traceability System.
Support End Of Line Tester team using the test plan in order to determine compliance with functional requirements such as correlation and Gage R&R.
Comply with safety rules and procedures.
Maintain BWPCS documentation (e.g., control scheme, alarms, HMI, reports) using rules established in the definition stage in order to guide local plant technicians.
Collect hardware specifications, technical bid summaries, and summarize purchase recommendations.
Participate in BWPCS council.
Job Requirements And Qualifications
Technical education in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics required.
Must have 3 - 5 years experience in Controls & Automation in complex and high-volume manufacturing.
Familiarity with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems.
Familiarity with robotics, AI, and machine learning.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to document requirements and specifications.
Creativity and out-of-box thinking in solving problems.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
