Your new company: Our client is an international company looking for a Global Procurement Director to join a dynamic and inspiring culture in Lisbon. Your new role: You´ll contribute to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to the business and partners, by acting as trusted adviser, using best in class market intelligence for valuable insights and strong supplier partnerships. You also will: Own and lead the definition, design, deployment and ongoing improvement of the Supplier Management process to ensure efficient, effective and transparent ways of working; Drive standardisation across Global Procurement and ensure that the company strikes the right balance between risk mitigation, simplification and innovation; Set the strategic direction for the process, working with the Executive Process Owner to drive the process to that end goal, ultimately enabling the delivery of our functional vision and strategic plan; Establish andlead a process network to drive process maturity and continuous improvement; Identify and act upon technological enhancements to drive efficiency, understanding the Lean Strategy, Digital Strategy and partner closely with these SMEs to ensure alignment and collaborate in defining the future direction of these strategies to meet business process needs. What you'll do: Design and own the process including standards and procedures; Engage and lead a process network; Provide training materials, expert advice and coaching; Drive adherence to the process; Drive standardisation and simplification, applying Lean Principles where appropriate; Define KPIs, manage continuous improvement and change; Manage links with related processes / BPOs; Manage any supporting systems (with System Owner) and define technology improvements; Own the business continuity plan for the process if required. What you'll need to succeed: Significant experience in Supplier Management either as a process owner or from direct management of strategic supplier relationships; Good understanding of Business Process Management frameworks with operational experience from working in a cross-functional process network or as a process user in a global process; Good understanding of Lean Principles; Significant Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience; Experience inchange management and people management skills; Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others; Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically.
