This is a place to make a difference in the world.The Role & What You Will Be DoingGlobal Medical Product Lead (Eyecare) is responsible for developing and executing the medical vision, strategic operating plan and key medical initiatives (including evidence generation, subject matter expertise and medical insights, medical engagements, medical communications) for Eyecare innovative products.Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Global Medical Affairs Lead (Eyecare) role will make an impact:Build a team of medical colleagues responsible for the generation, dissemination and education of data, information and knowledge to medical experts as well as key internal stakeholders and external stakeholders such as professional ophthalmology societies, academic groups, patient advocacy groups, government authorities, NGOs, payers, lobbyists, public outlets and other groups.Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues across Viatris and provide expertise, as may be called upon, for medical discussions.Provide subject matter expertise in the assigned therapy area and assets incl. clinical evidence, standard of care, unmet needs & competitive intelligence. Serve as a key medical resource on the disease area and on specific products.Oversee Innovative product medical strategy, provide guidance, medical inputs and consultation to address medical issues for innovative products.Provide medical and clinical reviews for potential innovative in-licensing opportunities.Lead Medical Affairs engagement interfacing with key functions, including Regulatory and Marketing. Own the scientific planning process for innovative products (pre-launch and throughout lifecycle) including strategy for data generation, data dissemination and KOL communications development
