Position Summary The Lean Product and Process Development Facilitator plays a key role in developing new products or technologies by effectively facilitating the groups and teams to produce robust products and processes to improve Customer Value. Architects and leads LPPD Workshops and activities using LPPD methodologies and other tools. This person mentors and develops future facilitators, and the Cross-functional teams in the LPPD framework and methods.
Key Roles And Responsibilities Architect and lead Lean Product and Process Development (LPPD) workshopsFacilitate Requirements gathering activitiesFacilitate Risk assessment (PKO) workshopsFacilitate Rapid Learning Cycles activitiesFacilitate 3P workshopsFacilitate FMEA WorkshopsFacilitate VAVE ActivitiesCoach other facilitators with their LPPD workshop planning and facilitatingMentor trainee facilitators and train them in the LPPD methodsKeep track and report on workshop achievements in regard to savings and improvementsOptimize current 3P workshop methods and processes - Research and develop methods to engage BorgWarner in more LPPD methods.Work with other lean organizations and academia to benchmark the latest LPPD methods - Apply LPPD methods to all functions involved in the product development process, to prevent quality and performance issues early on.Help change the culture of BW ETTS to one focused on lean product and process developmentBroadcast LPPD achievements throughout all of BW ETTS.Maintain, optimize, and promote PKO processes, tools, and methodologyFacilitate FMEA workshops with Design and Process teams on AAA programsBenchmark FMEA facilitation workshop methods internal and external to BorgWarnerJob Requirements And Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications) Demonstrate world-class skills and knowledge in LPPD framework and methodologiesPrevious experience and expertise in product and technology development processes or procedures including APQP.
