Job Responsibilities
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial records, as well as providing accurate and timely reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the general ledger, ensuring proper and timely month-end and year-end closing
Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting documentation
Handling intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Monitoring and ensuring accuracy in accruals, prepayments, and provisions
Supporting internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation
Participating in process improvements and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations
Collaborating with various departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data
Perfil ideal
The Successful Candidate
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
Proven experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in an international setting
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP)
Proficiency with accounting systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
