Language Requirements: German (Minimum C2 level required) English (Minimum B2 level) Job Description: We are looking for a German-speaking Customer Moderator to join our team onsite in Porto , Portugal.
As a content moderator, you will be working within the website technical solutions industry, playing a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant user experience across digital platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for moderating user-generated content and ensuring it adheres to platform guidelines and safety standards.
This position requires individuals with a high level of attention to detail , strong decision-making skills , and the ability to work under pressure .
You will analyze videos, images, or other types of content submitted by users to ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and safety standards.
While prior experience in content moderation or a customer-facing role is advantageous, it is not a requirement as we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed in the role.
As a member of our moderation team, you will be expected to make quick, accurate decisions and manage your workload efficiently while ensuring the quality of your work remains high.
This is an onsite role, and we are seeking professionals who are flexible with the working hours, as this job requires you to work in rotating shifts , including night shifts and weekends.
You will be expected to work independently, stay organized, and be a key contributor to a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities: Content Moderation: Review and evaluate user-generated content, such as videos, images, and comments, ensuring they comply with platform guidelines and legal regulations.
Decision-Making: Quickly and accurately assess content and make decisions based on predefined policies and guidelines.
Tagging & Categorization: Classify content into categories, such as approved, flagged for review, or rejected, according to specific rules and guidelines.
Feedback Reporting: Report issues or concerns related to content moderation to supervisors and provide input on improving moderation processes and guidelines.
Confidentiality & Sensitivity: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and adhere to privacy policies.
Working in a Team: Collaborate with other team members to maintain consistency in decision-making and share best practices for moderation.
Maintain Performance: Work efficiently to meet established performance metrics (e.g., content reviewed per hour, accuracy rates).
Adaptability: Adapt to updates and changes in moderation guidelines or tools, ensuring continuous alignment with best practices.
Problem Solving: Identify patterns or trends in flagged content and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Stress Management: Manage stressful situations effectively, especially when dealing with content that could be emotionally taxing.
Compliance: Ensure all content decisions align with company policies and community safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications: Fluency in German (Minimum C2 level) Proficiency in English (Minimum B2 level) Attention to Detail: Ability to examine content with a keen eye and make accurate decisions based on guidelines.
Strong Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make quick, well-informed decisions, even in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with both team members and supervisors.
Resilience & Stress Management: Comfort with repetitive tasks and the ability to remain focused and efficient under pressure.
Comfortable with Rotating Shifts: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Technically Proficient: Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including social media, website management systems, and content moderation software.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changes in guidelines, processes, and technology in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Previous experience in content moderation, customer service, or related fields is a plus, but not essential.
EU Citizenship or Valid Work Permit is required for employment in Portugal.
