Job Description

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of an industrial project in Sines, Portugal. Your primary duties will include:

Attending daily and weekly site meetings to monitor progress;

Coordinating with third parties and other managers to report on progress;

Monitoring and validating work progress on a daily basis;

Reviewing contractor reports on project costs and potential changes;

Ensuring quality construction standards and proper construction techniques;

Providing technical support to the contractor and project manager;

Coordinating with various departments for integration and interface management;

Assisting with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities;

Ensuring project completion and documentation in accordance with contract documents and good engineering practices;

Enforcing safety regulations on site to ensure works are performed safely;

Requirements

Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in industrial settings;

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices;

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and contractors;

Ability to anticipate and manage risks, resolve problems, and maintain high productivity levels;

Solid understanding of safety regulations and commitment to enforcing them on-site;

Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders;
