.We are looking for a General Manager – Speciality Restaurant to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from. This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.About the roleThe General Manager – Speciality Restaurant is responsible for the opening of Lisbon's newest and trendiest spots. To manage the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlet's operating concept, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the speciality restaurant. To function as the Business Manager and a Marketing Specialist. You are an entrepreneurial creative thinker and operator, who loves food more than George Bernard Shaw, and understand that wine is water from the gods, while mixology is chemistry and emotion.QualificationsOperated and Managed Independent restaurants in the best cities in the world.Relevant experience in top rated experience as Manager with oversight of complex restaurant operations, and or multiple venues.Proficiency in managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and supplier relationships.Develop and manage the F&B department's budget, including food and beverage costs, labor, and operational expenses.Experience in managing restaurant finances, including cost control, profit margins, and payroll.Ability to analyze financial data to make informed business decisions.Knowledge of menu engineering to optimize offerings based on profitability and customer demand.You are a service technician capable of conducting trainings, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.Experience in managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.Strong organizational skills to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations.Experience with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a compliant environment.Pre-Opening Experience an advantage.Speak Portuguese, English, and other languages a plus
