The DGU Global Digital Factory Coe is looking to recruit for the Data Engineers & Scientists department.

What you will do:
Model Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models tailored to solve specific problems, such as predictive analytics, recommendation systems, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and anomaly detection.
Data Preprocessing: Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into a suitable format for machine learning algorithms. Ensure data quality and handle any issues related to missing or noisy data.
Algorithm Selection and Optimization: Identify suitable machine learning algorithms and techniques based on the nature of the problem and available data. Optimize model parameters and hyperparameters to achieve optimal performance.
Feature Engineering: Extract, design, and select relevant features from the data to improve the accuracy and interpretability of the model.
Model Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluation and validation of machine learning models using appropriate metrics and methodologies. Assess model performance, identify potential biases, and iteratively enhance model accuracy.
Integration and Deployment: Collaborate with software developers and IT teams to integrate machine learning models into production systems and ensure smooth deployment for real-time applications.
Continuous Learning and Research: Stay updated on the latest developments and advances in machine learning and AI technologies. Conduct research and experiments to explore innovative approaches and stay ahead of industry best practices.
Data Privacy and Ethics: Adhere to data privacy regulations and ethical considerations when dealing with sensitive or personal data in machine learning projects.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business experts, to understand requirements and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.

What are we looking for:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant domain is an advantage;
Proven experience in developing and implementing machine learning models, preferably in a business or research environment;
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python or R, along with experience in using machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.);
Solid understanding of statistical analysis, supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, and deep learning architectures;
Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation methods;
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to effectively present findings;
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
