AstraZeneca is building an internal consulting capability in our Global Business Services (GBS) group focused on delivering quality project management services to our enterprise organization. You will work closely with our businesses as a project expert and trusted advisor. We will set the highest quality standard, collaborate, and work hard to achieve critical goals on time and within budget, delivering value across the organization and delighting our customers.Accountabilities of the role:You will manage functional projects that are of medium complexity and risk and have a mature and supportive partner organization.You will be accountable for managing projects that deliver >$500k of benefits and task managing a project team of typically no more than 10-20 customers.You will take a customer-centric approach to your work and be accountable for iterating the service within your team, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.You will participate in Communities of Practice with the other Project Managers and Leads within your wider team and take a coaching mentality to each other in sharing knowledge to bring the team to an agreed standard of quality; holding each other to account where quality falls short.You will define, implement, and drive project governance across a mature and supportive partner landscape.You will ensure change management is considered from the outset of the project and work closely with team members as they design the solution; you will lead the conversations and ask the right questions to ensure the best strategic decisions are made for the organization.You will work with the project team to create and implement detailed project plans where appropriate and revise them to meet changing needs and requirements to ensure landmarks are met effectively and efficiently.You will identify actions needed to progress plans and assign individual responsibilities, driving accountability for completion.You will manage relationships with key business partners and ensure that business requirements are effectively captured, and the impact of the project is understood by the business.You will adhere to the GBS Project Services delivery methodology.Essential Skills and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, or Healthcare-related major.5+ years of experience in programme/project management for complex projects as defined above.Experience managing projects in a global organization.Demonstration of strong communication and relationship building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams.Comfortable and skilled in operating in a complex operational matrix organization across diverse, global teams.Experience considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics.Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to ensure understanding and alignment.Ability to interpret unstructured information into business requirements.Experience in relationship management, across both relationship development, maintenance, and ability to understand internal political influence.Excellent business engagement and business insight with sensitivity to internal and external political/economic environment.Experience of managing and controlling a project budget.Significant experience and skill presenting in front of leadership level clients through written and verbal channels.Desirable Skills and Experience:Project Management and/or Program Management Certification.Management Consulting experience.Pharmaceutical or equivalent global & complex organization experience; experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines.Why AstraZeneca?When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire changing medicines.
