Job description:
The Operations team is in charge of functional support on market and counterparty risk systems of the bank. The team in Portugal is focusing in particular on the quality aspects of the data that feeds those systems: ensuring data quality issues are resolved, putting in place meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) about data quality, reviewing and improving existing processes and KPIs, and assisting on the preparation of material for committees where those KPIs are discussed.
The mission of the Operations team is met by:
Ensuring clients and Senior management have a clear vision of the quality of the services provided by Operation teams, thanks to the production of meaningful KPIs about our main services.
Resolution of incidents related to data quality.
Regular calibration of market variables used for the calculation of risk metrics.
Streamlining, running, documenting existing processes that currently lack industrialisation.
We are looking for one analyst to join our team and work on the production of metrics used for counterparty risk stress testing.
Main Tasks:
Provide technical and functional support to Portugal team members.
Provide timely acknowledgement & resolution on the incidents raised by users.
Provide training to users on Market and Counterparty Risk Applications.
Work closely with development teams and functional experts and provide expert advice on emerging trends and issues affecting services.
Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators, particularly in terms of in-depth trend analysis.
Examine potential areas for service improvement with the Service Manager.
Provide input to the implementation, backup and roll-back plans.
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of counterparty risks.
Good understanding of stress testing techniques.
Python (nice to have, but not a blocker).
Good SQL skills.
