Full-Time – Governess (Live Out)

Full-time English-speaking Governess required for B3, B6 & B9, located near Sintra, Portugal, salary of €3000 – €3500 gross per month. Live-out. Start ASAP.
This position is only suitable for candidates holding a passport from an EU member state.
An American family based in Portugal is seeking a dedicated Governess to join their family and act as a positive role model for their three boys.
As a Governess, you will support the boys with their learning, following their lead with interests and activities. The parents embrace a gentle and playful approach to parenting and would like the Governess to have the same child-led approach. Additionally, you will promote all areas of child development, ensuring they meet age-appropriate milestones, teaching etiquette, and encouraging good behaviour and manners.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a good understanding of Montessori, who is fun, gentle, playful, and adventurous. Someone who is grounded, respectful, and attuned to reading the children's cues, allowing them to follow their interests. This position would suit someone who loves nature and is flexible, intentional, and organised. Speaking Spanish and/or Portuguese would be beneficial.
The family travels internationally, and you will be required to travel with them.
The working schedule is 5/2 (weekends off), working from 8.00 am – 5 pm each day.
This is a live-out position with a private apartment provided.
Package:
Salary on offer is €3000 – €3500 per month.
