Modern tax regulations are highly complex and dynamic. Working as part of the Financial Services Operations (FSO) Tax team, you will make technical contributions to provide tax advisory, transactions, and compliance services to our clients in the financial services market, covering some of the world's largest multinational institutions.
The opportunity
As a Senior Consultant in the FSO Tax team, you will help clients reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk, and improve opportunities within their tax functions. Be part of a global team that helps build sustainable tax strategies; assesses, improves, and monitors tax functions' processes, controls, and risk management; and supports clients in managing effective relationships with tax authorities.
Your key responsibilities
Providing a well-integrated broad array of tax services for multiple clients in the financial services market (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset Management) with a high level of efficiency and quality;
Assisting in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive tax policies and procedures;
Providing tax reporting, analysis, and validations;
Defining, developing, and implementing effective tax and reporting solutions and processes in accordance with local and global requirements;
Assisting in establishing, monitoring, evaluating, and interpreting tax data;
Supporting the implementation of key regulatory requirements and guidelines;
Identifying risks and/or improvement opportunities;
Supporting team management;
Establishing professional and trust relationships with clients and staff, contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture;
Acting as a mentor and coach to junior members of the team and leading by example;
Understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing/presenting ways to serve clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have
Academic education in Tax, Economics, or similar fields of study;
At least 4 years of professional experience in a tax role, mainly in Financial Services;
Good knowledge about local and global tax requirements;
Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments;
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
