We are looking for a super star Front Office Manager to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital. This hotel will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe and is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district along Rua Augusta, it will comprise five separate buildings, including the former offices of Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). The central building will offer 170 guestrooms, with surrounding buildings providing various private suites. This unique Urban Resort will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.
About the role
In a pre-opening environment, the Front Office Manager plays a critical role in establishing smooth hotel operations. This includes recruiting and training front office colleagues, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuring front office systems such as reservations and check-in/check-out processes in line with the standards of the Andaz Lisbon. This hands-on role is perfect for a passionate, customer-focused professional to set clear strategies and goals to enhance the guest and colleague experience while maximizing revenues and controlling costs.
Main Duties include:
Overseeing the guest experience from check-in to check-out for all guests, ensuring a seamless experience and making adjustments as necessary.
Ensuring that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.
Building and delivering brand-led experiences that contribute to exceeding hotel NPS and customer service scores.
Qualifications Ideally with a degree
Experience in a similar role in a luxury 5-star hotel
Fluent in Portuguese and English
Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team
Exceptional customer service skills focused on creating memorable guest experiences
Experience in implementing service standards and training colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pre-opening experience in luxury is an advantage
