Key responsibilities include: Coordinating the end-to-e nd logistics of shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Negotiating contracts and rates with carriers, suppliers, and clients to secure the best possible terms.
Preparing and managing all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
Providing clients with regular updates on shipment status and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders.
Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
Requirements Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
A minimum of 20 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
Proven ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and clients.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in logistics and freight management software.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work well under pressure.
