About your future Team In an organization that embraces the public cloud services, a FinOps culture and framework is crucial and therefore the skills and talent for the ongoing FinOps needs and continuous improvement is fundamental. The FinOps team is within the System Improvement team under the EAM-IOPS area, and this open position seeks to reinforce the team with a FinOps Operational Specialist.
How will your day-to-day look like: Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the FinOps practice, ensuring the effective implementation of FinOps processes and tools.Cost Optimization: Lead efforts to identify and implement cost-saving measures, including anomaly detection, commitment-based discounts, and savings opportunities.Anomaly Detection and Management: Monitor cloud spending to detect and manage anomalies, ensuring costs are within expected ranges and addressing issues promptly.Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into cloud spending patterns and areas for optimization.Tool Implementation: Manage and optimize the use of FinOps tools and platforms to support financial management and cost optimization efforts.Collaboration with Strategic Lead: Work closely with the Strategic Lead to ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational activities, providing updates and insights to support strategic decision-making.Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Coordinate with engineering teams to implement technical solutions for cost optimization, tagging hygiene, and other operational improvements.Automation Driver: Lead the initiative to increase automation within the FinOps team, developing and implementing automated solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual efforts.Process Improvement: Continuously improve FinOps processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to team members and other stakeholders on FinOps principles and best practices.Budget Management: Excellent understanding of the budgeting and forecasting process. Oversees and follow-up of budgets across the organization.What makes you unique: FinOps Expertise: Strong understanding of the FinOps framework, principles, and best practices.
