We are looking for a talented Financial Reporting and Operations Analyst to support our Financial Control function. You will be responsible for delivering statutory accounts, supporting the treasury and tax functions, and providing ad-hoc analysis. A key part of the role will also be supporting us as we leverage the latest available technologies to transform our Finance into a best-in-class digital operation.
This role be located in Lisbon and will report into the Finance Manager. We are looking for someone who is humble, hungry and smart; with a strong track record in Accounting and across the Finance function.
What you will do:
Interrogating existing Finance processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing project improvement plans.
Participating in Finance system automation projects by drawing on experience of finance systems and helping identify systems best suited to business needs.
Ownership of compliance cycle (accounting for certain countries, including coordinating query responses to tax authorities, clients and other third parties).
Management of relationships with third party advisors (e.g. accountants, tax advisors).
Oversight of ERP systems elements (e.g. Fixed Assets Module, etc).
Development of our control environment.
Supporting our AP, GL and AR teams.
Ownership of credit card issuing process and company virtual credit cards management.
Ad-hoc as and when required by the Financial Control departments.
What you will bring:
Qualified accountant (Bachelor degree in Economics/Accounting).
Minimum of 3 years work experience.
Audit background is a bonus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to drive projects forward.
Organised and critical thinking person, and who likes to work in a team.
An interest in technology.
