Purpose
The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position involves collaboration with various departments to gather necessary data and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, reporting, and financial analysis, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
Ensure compliance with both international and local regulatory requirements;
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for submission to relevant regulatory bodies;
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet both IFRS standards;
Provide accounting support to local accounting teams to ensure the smooth closing of company accounts;
Collaborate closely with the finance team to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure the accuracy of financial data;
Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improvement;
Prepare variance analyses and explain differences between actuals;
Collaborate with the ESG team to develop non-financial KPIs, optimize/establish processes, and perform data collection, verification, and consolidation for sustainability reporting;
Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting regulations and standards, such as the EU CSRD;
Calculate impacts, risks, and opportunities related to ESG, climate change, and energy transition, reflecting these in financial accounts with necessary disclosures;
Work with external auditors to provide assurance on financial and non-financial data during quarterly and annual closing processes.
Requirements
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred;
2-4 years of experience in financial reporting, public accounting, or a related field;
A big four background is preferable;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (e.g., BPC, SAP);
Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
