The Record to Report Direction of EDP GBS is looking to recruit for the Operational Accounting NA area.

What you will do:
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions for operational and under-construction projects in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
Analyze relevant contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment;
Prepare reconciliations to properly support account balances;
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analyses;
Develop reports for financial and managerial reporting, forecasting, trending, and results analysis;
Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions;
Assist with preparation of documents for annual audits;
Recommend improvements in policies and procedures;
Collaborate with internal clients, including Project Controls, Finance, and Tax;
Mentor Project Accounting Analyst, sharing best practices and contributing to their professional development;
Additional duties as required.

What are we looking for:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or a related field;
Between 3 and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience;
CPA license (or equivalent) preferred;
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel;
Some knowledge of SAP preferred;
Resistance to stress, high communication skills;
Creative spirit and self-initiative;
Fluent in English.
