Job Overview
Working closely with the Finance Excellence Centre Manager and team, the Finance Systems Lead is responsible for ensuring that the full functionality of NetSuite and related finance systems that form the Team.Blue Finance Ecosystem is fully leveraged and optimised to meet the needs of the Finance Excellence Centre and wider Business Users.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Ownership: Lead the architecting of the design and optimising of Finance Systems ecosystem for Team.Blue – centred on the Oracle NetSuite OneWorld solution, its requisite SuiteApps and third-party add-ons, and its interaction with both upstream and downstream systems.
Solution Implementation: Coordinate the implementation of the various technical components in and around the Finance Systems ecosystem to ensure compatibility, inter-operability, integration and stability.
Solution Optimisation: Work with the Finance Excellence Centre Manager and their team to optimise the Finance solutions to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency of the operations.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments, including the Finance Excellence Centre, finance, accounting, internal audit, and IT, to ensure alignment with objectives with business goals.
Policy and Compliance: Develop and maintain the necessary system policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accounting standards, internal guidelines.
Communication and Reporting: Demonstrate the effective stability and performance of the Finance Systems Ecosystem by generating data and reports relating to uptime/availability, incidents and resolution, end to end cycle times.
Tasks:
Architectural Review: Review all components in the Finance Systems ecosystem to ensure compatibility, inter-operability and maintainability.
Environment Management: Implement processes to ensure that the various NetSuite Sandbox environments are effectively managed for the use of Development, Testing, Data Migration, Training and Trouble-shooting, and that the Production environment is protected at all times from unauthorised or untested configuration or changes.
System Access & Controls: Oversee the set up and initial operation of the necessary processes to control the access to the Finance Systems - developing a set of appropriate roles and permissions that meet the complex needs of the Finance Excellence Centre and the distributed Business Units.
Forms, Templates and Dashboards: Assist the Finance Excellence Centre team in setting up and adapting the necessary forms, templates and Dashboards to meet their evolving Business requirements.
Finance Systems Support Team: Oversee the design and set up of the necessary Finance Systems support team and processes to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the various systems and interfaces.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in large global transformation programmes for finance, or operations roles with in-depth knowledge of all accounting processes and how they are translated into ERP systems.
Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SOX) in multiple jurisdictions.
In depth knowledge of implementing and optimising Oracle's NetSuite OneWorld solution for complex brown-field global companies – with appropriate qualifications and experiences.
Proven experience in tackling complex accounting scenarios and working with the Business community to create acceptable solutions.
Proven, hands-on experience in systematically triaging and resolving live incidents in NetSuite OneWorld - collating evidence, liaising with Oracle NetSuite and other Partners to provide both hot-fix and permanent solutions to them.
Detailed knowledge of NetSuite customisation toolset (SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, FreeMarker/HTML/CSS).
Ability to work with cross-functional Business teams to optimise both discrete and end to end operations in Oracle NetSuite OneWorld implementations for maximum operational performance.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, CIMA/ACCA.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
