Platform Manager: General Ledger and Accounts Payable

As the Platform Manager for our General Ledger and Accounts Payable platform, you will lead the development and delivery of technology solutions that maximise the efficiency of the AP and GL teams and processes, simplifies solutions, while improving speed of month-end closure and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership : Inspire and guide a technology team towards achieving excellence.
Platform Strategy : Craft a product strategy for the AP and GL platform which is aligned with Finance/Accounting team's strategies and objectives to optimise and automate the Finance Operations. Define and communicate the vision.
Product Management : Develop and maintain the product roadmap. Maintain the change backlog. Ensure backlog items are clear, meaningful, accessible to all stakeholders and prioritize items to maximize business value.
Stakeholder Management : Gather and manage stakeholder requirements, communicate progress and manage expectations. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team.
Collaboration : Partner with senior cross-functional teams to integrate a seamless technology stack into our operational processes.
Development : Work with software engineering teams and partners to deliver / execute the product development roadmap.
Project Management : Work with the project manager to ensure the projects in your domain are professionally managed and deliver successfully.
Performance Management : Continuously assess and improve the commercial impact and performance of the technology supporting finance operations.
Budget Control : Manage the operating and investment budget, ensuring tight financial control and return on investment.
Innovation : Stay at the cutting edge of emerging technologies and industry trends guiding the strategic direction of our initiatives and evaluating and adopting state-of-the-art technological tools and platforms to boost operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Educational Background : A relevant bachelor's degree or higher. MBA preferred.
Experience : Over 5 years in senior technology management roles, delivering solutions and improvements in an Accounting (AP & GL) related areas.
Industry Insight : Must have an accounting / finance related background, preferably in related industries (such as co-working, hotel management, rental agencies, commercial real estate, or retail operations) is a plus.
Technology Expertise : Ideally experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), service management platforms (ServiceNow) and Financial Consolidation Reporting (Oracle FCCS) applications.
Commercial Acumen : Proven ability to reduce the cost of operational processes and service delivery.
Communication and Negotiation : Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing a global team and engaging with C-level executives.
Multitasking Ability : Skilled in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-Oriented : Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Technical Knowledge : Understanding of software engineering and lifecycle management is useful.
Language Proficiency : Outstanding written and spoken English.
