Candidates must demonstrate a documented track record of scientific and professional achievements in the competition's specified research domain, and possess expertise aligned with the scope of activities outlined in Section 8 of this Notice.Special admission requirementsMinimum of 5 years post-doctoral experience in the scientific area of the notice;The candidate's academic background must include a Master's degree in Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a closely related area and a PhD focusing on one or more of the following areas: microbiome analysis, drug-microbiome interactions, molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, genomic epidemiology or integrated analysis of omics methodologies;Solid scientific background demonstrating the integration of the areas of Pharmacology and Microbiology;Mastery of laboratory tests, tools and platforms for computer analysis of genomes/microbiomes;Comprehensive knowledge of the human microbiome and its complex interactions with pharmacological agents/drugs;Experience in the molecular study of the epidemiology of antibiotic resistance and bacterial virulence factors using the integration of several omics.Preferential RequirementsPresent a record of relevant publications in scientific journals in the scientific area of the advertisement;Experience in the evolution of antimicrobial resistance and the mobility of resistance genes;Holding, in the scientific area of the advertisement, patents or experience in the development of methodologies with application in real contexts;Participation in research projects funded by the FCT or other national or international entities, with participation in multidisciplinary teams being valued;Notable ability to communicate and disseminate research results, through scientific publications and presentations.Functional ContentThe duties of the research personnel include the following aspects:Research;Transfer and valorisation of knowledge;Management and communication of science and technology and other tasks;Teaching and training activities, when applicable.Formalization of applications:Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm (local time – Lisbon) until November 21th 2024.
